My Mother's Tear-the art of Jerri Nisbet-Lance
This piece took my breath away when I saw the scan. There's nothing I need to say about it, it speaks for itself!
CAT'S MEOW
Jerri Says: " I
call this particular piece, "The Cat's Meow"! It sounds funny I know, but it
suits the necklace once you know the story behind the name. I had originally
beaded around the stone months ago but sadly, had left it out overnight on my
dining room table. My ferocious felines found it, and proceeded to make the
night merry by batting it hither and yon! They totally destroyed the
original design and in frustration/anger I put the stone away unable to even
consider attempting to redo the beadwork.
Out of necessity, I picked it up again a few weeks ago when a friend
requested I bead her a necklace with a green stone. A totally new design
evolved that is quite different from the original!

MIRROR OF THE SOUL
Jerri says of this piece: "I have named this necklace, "Mirror of the Soul". The gemstone is a piece of
clear, polished quartz. I used silver lined hex cut delicas and silverlined
#15's to bead around the stone and to bead the strap. Clear quartz is said
to be our mirror to the soul and represents our uniqueness and our journey
toward clarity.
